Hey Old Dan I said "FAIR" price. There is no problem finding them at extremely high grade prices but...being tighter than a bark on a tree and anti-slab, I must look for high grade RAW coins and they tend to be a more reasonable purchase if you are with the right dealer!

Identifying my favorite coin design is like naming my favorite song, always changing. Right now I'm really loving the $10.00 Indian Head Gold Eagle (1907-1933). Tomorrow or next week, it will likely be something else.

Two of my favorites, even if these are not the finest examples, I really like the Flying Eagle cents and the Indian cents.\\What's-The-Prettiest-US-Coin?

The Walking Liberty half is by far my favorite. I'm hard pressed to find another world coin that I like more.

She's silver, she's got a flowing gown, she's walking towards me, she's been around the block a time or two. All the better if she's got some nice color to her.

I would marry her if I could.

The SL quarter comes in a very distant second.

Watch out, KARRIOT, I heard she's a dime a dozen, and perhaps a little rough around the edges. But whatever fits in the slot I guess..
Rest in Peace

To me, almost any U.S. coin minted (read designed) prior to 1909, with just a few exceptions (St Gaudens, ASE'S, Walking Libs, Buffalo nickels,Winged Liberty Dimes and Standing Libs to name a few)I am a great fan of Lady Liberty in all her guises! I also love older currency. The Presidents just do not do it for me. No offense intended to those who love them Mike
