This threepence has been damaged and it is difficult to read the date. It has a Melbourne mint mark so it can't be 1922. There are no records of a 21/22 overstamp with a mint mark. Any insights would be appreciated.
I agree with the no mintmark 1922 statement so perhaps the damage to the coin was a result of someone attempting to make a 22/21 overdate out of a 1921 or 1920 M threepence.
