Friends I found a few cents of these years that show doubling of some sort.My 1977 cent #0200A.Appreciate your Expert view advise,if there is something here.
The coin looked far bigger in all effects so I am showing it for a possible DDO.
GOD willing its a Winner,Amen!

God Bless,
Beck,

wait for the experts to give their take on it, but it only looks like lighting issues to me

Do not know of any known 1977 DDO's.
I see some MD though.

I checked coppercoins.com and did not see any DDO's listed for 1977, just one for 1977-d. That does not mean this is not one, it just means I am not sure where else to look for this. I also think I see Machine Doubling in some areas.

While you pictures are good, I have problems with the close ups because of the glare. I might be the only one but that is why it is difficult for me to see a DDO if there was one there.

Beck, I am not an expert in Lincoln's, but have been doing a LOT of searching/learning about DDOs and DDRs in Kennedy halves the last 6 months and, having identified/found several (including some of the more obscure ones), I feel like I have a decent grasp on what Machine Doubling (MD) looks like.

I believe the clearest picture I can see your doubling in is the 2nd one of the "G" in "GOD." I do believe, from this pic, that your penny has MD and is not a true DDO. I hope an LMC expert chimes in here soon.

Keep looking - it fun!

All the coins above appear to be normal 1977 cents. Keep in mind these dies were well over used during the late 60s to early 80s. Combine that with what Earle pointed out, lighting, and the answer is crystal clear: Normal cents.

BTW Earle, there is no need to be a Lincoln expert. A doubled die is a doubled die. Machine Doubling is Machine Doubling. These varieties happen in all denominations. Your analysis is spot on.
