I was wondering what a possible grade would be for this 1900 P Morgan dollar?

I don't see anything that is obviously wear. The scratches on the obverse will keep this coin at MS60 (although there is a chance it would be deemed ungradeable due to the large dig on the obverse).

Hard to tell with the lighting but I'll say MS62. This has to be a VAM with that reverse die crack.

I see a lot of luster, more than the photo is showing, I think closer to MS63 the reverse looks nice, with some rose and orange toning coming in nice at top and blue green at the bottom. I think it's more the lighting in the photo making the coin look worse than it is, there are a few decent VAM coins to look for in 1900-P mostly date or reverse doubling and I don't see anything that jumps out on this coin.

Of course it is, every Morgan and Peace dollar is a VAM you know. Just some of them are worth any real premium.

My first thought was MS63. Can't see any real wear.

IMO MS 63, no obvious signs of wear, nice looking coin.

I'm curious. I don't see any signs of a cleaning on this coin, yet several comments raised this issue. What do you all see that I'm missing that would make you indicate that this coin has been cleaned? Ms-63 IMO.

The only thing I can think of is the hints of lines running northwest-southeast on the lower right quadrant of the obverse. I don't come to that conclusion from them, though, not with that the only indication on the whole coin.
