So, this is my first post here. I just purchased an 1893-S and wanted to slab it in a PCGS holder, but I'm worried that it is going to get bodybagged due to the rim. Can anyone weigh in on this?

As long as the coin is real theyll slab it even if its damaged the label will just say so

Yes. I see it there at 12 O'clock.
This date is highly counterfeited so authentication is a must. I'd send it to PCGS personally.
The good news is that if it is genuine, the surfaces appear original.

Absolutely get this to PCGS. Even in Genuine, VF Details (which is what I think it'd get) you still have a $3500 coin here.

to CCF. with everyone above. Here is a link to ANACS diagnostics of a genuine article 1893-S Yours apears to be the tilted S variety. Hope the link helps you see the details on genuine coins. They are heavily counterfeited and often very deceptive, third party authentication is of upmost importance on this date.
