Today I was asked if I wanted to buy three American Eagle silver dollars, 93/94/95 all I would say MS 63 or above. I am not to familiar with these coins. I stick with the classic coins. All I know is that they are 1 Troy OZ. I weighed them and the weights are good. Just wondering if they are worth more then spot silver price. He told me to make him an offer for them. Any information would be helpful, thanks!

Proper price would be a few bucks over spot... $100 +/- wouldn't be out of range for nice looking coins If they are REALLY MS63 coins then I would lean lower (out of the over 120,000 1994 ASE's graded by NGC only 14 were 63 and below) Spot has been in a tailspin recently and is still looking for a bottom...$29.15 as I type this

benchfreak...it depends on the coins themselves much like any other coin. The odds are you are looking at bullion coins, and as such they are going to always be worth what the market value of silver is. So the ones you are looking at probably sold in the $10 range when purchased in the 90's. Today he is looking to sell them around $90 to $100. Next week they could be worth $80... or $110.

TOTALLY related to the price of silver...now down to $28.88
Price for the 3 should be adjusted down appropriately
Not really a numismatic factor involved

The LCS charges about $4 over spot for ASE. Not a huge premium for these coins. They fluctuate with silver prices.

Buy them as common dates. They are lower mintage but still just bullion. Only the 1996 commands a big premium right now.

I agree with spot plus, " just bullion" but as an added incentive, the '94 was the second lowest mintage behind the '96 and the '95 was the fourth lowest . The '93 is in the top ten lowest at 6.7 mil. It may not mean much now, but with the current mintages 30 and 40 million plus , it could mean alot to the grandkids.
