Someone gave me this d.c. metrobus token from 1973 once when I was riding the metro. I thought it was really cool but was curious if it held any collector's value or how much it is worth?

There are people who collect transportation tokens so there is some collector's value. I suspect they are probably numerous as it is from D.C. With tokens the price usually depends on if the seller needs it for their collection and how badly they want it. Otherwise I would expect it to go for about a dollar or less.

ryanlaus: Careful, you are getting close to some of the dark back roads in the field of exonumia. There are whole catalogs of transportation tokens. And tax tokens, wooden nickels, video game tokens, etc.
