But, something like this coin may not be consider appropriate for a cross-grade, for the reasons you mention. But perhaps a quick opinion on cleaning, whether it is genuine, etc., could be obtained to allow the coin to be returned if it is a complete dud. Report this Post to the Staff
DEVLEC Pillar of the Community Canada 3234 Posts	Posted 03/23/2013 3:42 pm ....a piece like that has to be seen and examined by hand...it also falls into a "problem coin". Why isn't that piece selling at Heritage ....? You've got to wonder about it ...and that grading company too.... I saw an MS65 48 Silver dollar that had all kinds of visible unmagnified marks on the bust ...so what gives with their grading.... a gem can't have visible marks on it...
