I bought a Whitman Classic Album for my proof only State/Territories quarters. The price was right ($14) and I like the look. I have had Whitmans in the past (Lincolns, Jeffersons) and have had no issues with them. While I buy mostly Danscos now, I really do like this album except for one thing.... the holes were a little too small and I had to work too much to get them in.

I love Whitman Classics. I have more of them than I have Danscos, but my intention is to have one of each. :) One downside is they don't make slip covers for them.

Well done. I have nothing against Whitman. It just happened that my grandfather bought me two Dansco albums, which started me on the path I have continued on to this day.

Many Albums by many manufacturers occationally have the holes to small. In those instances the solution is simple. Remove the top and bottom slides. Using a rather worn, not needed coin of a slightly larger size, simply use it to sort of make the hold larger. Insert the such a coin as far as it will go and rotate it a few times. Try a not so needed Quarter now and if still tight, redo the previous a bit more. I use mostly Whitman Classic Albums. I like the ability to make my own Albums with blank pages, blank covers, Gold type press on letters/numbers. I appreciate the slots at the end making the removing of the slides easy. Danso does not have those and that usually means you press on a slide right over a coin to move them. Also, Whitman makes their Albums for the coin with no blank places such as with Dansco. I have some Dansco, some Littleton, one Intercept Shield and a few other brands. I'll stick to Whitman.

This was a little overkill...

I recently purchased the 5 for 4 deals on the State Quarters + territories and the ATB's, I can't for the life of me get them to stay in ( my right thumb is still sore 3 days later ) I called Whitman and they told my to put them in at an angle which I tried but when I drop the book more than 3 inches they almost all fall out, I am no weakling either. If someone knows a reliable trick to getting them in I'd like to know it, otherwise my new Dansco coin albums will be what I use from here on.

I posted a similar thought on another thread about the Whitman albums... My only complaint is that the sliding plastic tab can be pushed too far. In order to retrieve the end of the plastic slide, you have to push it out from one of the coin slots. I've learned to curb my excitement and be careful when pushing the slide back into place.

UPDATE: I looked at the album for the first time in a few weeks and tried to adjust the quarters front to back, and behold, they move much easier now. I think the holes have loosen up a bit.
