Much better. I'll stay with AU55. She would have a wonderful home with my collection. To answer your question about slabbing (slobbing ) MS yes, AU no.

I'm bumping this because I was AWOL when it was posted, and amida17 was smart enough to call me out via email. 1900-O/CC is one of the most famous variety series in the entirety of VAMming. They're among the first varieties a newcomer to VAMming learns about, and one of the few that all three major TPG's attributes. As such, they tend to trade at a premium even if they're not particularly rare. There are 5 different O/CC numbered VAMs, and a couple subvarieties involving clashing. This one is definitely VAM-8 - the O/CC is easily the most striking of the whole bunch, and you can't miss it - but 8A or 8B would require better images of the obverse so we can see if and how strongly it's clashed. 8A is roughly third most common of the O/CC's. 8B is a little tougher.... If this coin is going to be flipped, even as an AU it's going to carry a premium, and it's going to be attractive to beginning VAMmers. Lots of liquidity. Enough to justify slabbing? I don't know. It would have to be an original-surfaces coin, either way. Can we possibly learn more about the obverse of this one? It'll help nail down grade as well.

Yeah chris I need to do that. I cannot get any better pics. Need to see what your scope can do. My only fear is that you will not let me leave with it.

I'll wait for better pictures before I wager an opinion on the condition. I will say the close up of the mm shows potential. Very nice variety none the less.

I'm thinking VAM8a or b the 8b would be more likely I think on this coin, but as SsuperDdave stated better Obverse photos will be needed to nail it down. The only VAM that it seems close to is 8 so I think you've got a winner here. Slabbing it? ANACS has a good deal running now for $13.00/coin so not too expensive, but you need 5 total coins + shipping and Insurance for their deal, if you have other coins to go then I'd send it in even in AU condition. Most certainly if it warrants a MS designation.
