Need some extra eyes on this one.Found eight of them this morning. Looks like the bottom portion of I N G O between bust and rim? All input welcome as always. Thanks all, John1

You found 8 with the same marks in the same place? Hmmmm.

I though that a clash would involve the reverse of the coin leaving an imprint on the obverse (or vice versa).

If we find a B do we win anything? j/k um I would not be surprised if it were a misaligned clash reading left to right UBIR, you must put it upside down for it to look right. Waiting on the experts to!

Thanks for email Coop. Interesting. I would have to see an example and then place some overlays of different parts of the reverse and obverse designs. TES from STATES is present in that region on the reverse, and could make it a misaligned/tilted die clash. The spacing seems too tight for it to be IN G. It could easily be random die denting as well.

jcuve,
If you want to look at it in hand let me know and I will send it with a SASE to you. Thanks coop for emailing jcuve.I also PMed BJ Neff and waiting for his response. The reason I thought it was I N G O is because the third mark from the left looks like the bottom of a G to me.Thanks for the input so far.

I cannot email you. The CCF system is so rigid that even though I have been a member since 2008/2009 as my post count is below some magical minimum it blocks my email. I would like to see an example and compare notes with BJ. Maybe you can send a PM/email to me? I am also on on (as a Mod) on the CONECA forums and LincolnCentResource forums.
