I do like that they have it down town which seems easy to get too. I'm just waiting for the october snow out next time they make the playoffs lol. The Vikings really do need a new stadium at some point though I do agree cities should stop kicking in as much money as they have been in the past for the stadiums.

Dedundo actually got sent down to the minors a few days ago, their pitching definitely leaves a lot to be desired. If theyre going to blow up the roster like they did they should trade Mauer and Willingham too while their value is high then Morneau if he can rebuild his value and actually rebuild instead of that middle ground where you try and compete while rebuilding which never works.

Gardenhire is a good manager, no one will save that roster but he probably wont survive the rebuild unless they surprise the world and compete in the next year or two.

I forgot they sent him down - I saw that. It could be an interesting year - Gardy might have to do his best managing yet. I read they are hoping the pitching staff can get them to 6 on a regular basis - since they are pretty sure they will stay in games with the hitting they have, and the pen is solid. If they trade Mauer... you know they have tossed the towel for at least 2 and probably more years - and Gardy will be gone as well. Morneau actually had a pretty good year last year - not an MVP year - but not bad for a comeback either. I have yet to be impressed with the pitching and they have no one on the staff that inspires confidence they can lock up a win every 5th day. So... if they win 80 I'd be impressed.

Yeah - tough start! Opening day - 34 degrees and facing Verlander. The sad thing is the pitching was really good - but no clutch hitting. I think they left something like 12 runners on base...

Back on the subject of the coin, I'm not sure whether or not I like the reverse design... it just looks wrong to me, but I do like the fact that it's something completely different.

I don't think they have finalized the reverse yet either. I don't think they know exactly what the location of the lettering is going to be...

The lettering in between the seems does seem off. If they want to that shouldnt be too hard of a fix

I just saw the proposed layouts for the Hall of Fame coin and I was utterly disappointed about both the proposed designs and the reaction of the committee.

To be it looks like the Hall of Fame coin can't get past the image of the baseball. Their drawings and recommentations appears to be both drab and unimaginative. Certainly they is an image that is to be more inspiring that's going to be put on a coin than a baseball orientated in different ways.

I was thinking something more inspiring like an image of the World Series trophy, cross baseball bats with a glove and ball, or a ticket stub(s). To me that more interesting that a ball.

Granted you can't play the game without a ball, but where is the imagination of these people. If these are supposed to represent the finest coin design minds in the country that we are an unimaginative group.
