I agree .. it does have a .. different look. not sure if it is how the picture was taken .. or the lighting .. or how the coin was kept. Have to see what some of the Lincoln Cent experts think. I have never seen a 14D with that much detail, that is part of what makes me wonder about it. My 14D is only a fine.. so I don't have anything to compare it to. If that is real .. it will be a very good grade.

For some reason I am thinking the D is not far enough over to the right...but then again, my 14-D is not the best condition one to compare it to. I also agree with GR58. This is a terriffic detailed coin if it is authentic. Where is this for sale?

I'd need to see some higher-definition pics in different light angles. Something is making me feel odd about it, but I can't narrow it down to something concrete outside of "something seems funny" (which could simply be due to something as innocuous as the lighting :-) ).
I'll defer to others for now.

The obverse looks okay, but it's tough to tell with only one angle. I have some Linc's that have that 'chocolate' texture to them, so it doesn't strike me as unusual. Here's an MS-60+ picture. The date and mint mark look consistent.

I say, put it down on a scale and see what it weights. I think it might be a fake, but it can just be a dirty one.

The date and mint mark look wrong.
A clear closeup of the mint mark would be good. It looks like it has a rounded circle in the middle after blowing the image up to overlap the other two authentic ones that have been posted.
Just glancing at the date makes it look like the two sets of numbers "19" and "14" are offset from each other. Looking closely, it appears there is MDD on the "19". Looking even closer, the "9" looks completely wrong. The top end curl appears to come almost perpendicular to the vertical legs of the "1"s and "4". The "9" should be pointing at about a 45 degree angle?
Circulation will make all of the date numbers appear "fat" with the "9" in particular appearing to become more perpendicular to the legs of the other numbers. However, this coin does not appear to exhibit that degree of wear.
The mint mark should be "boxy" and have more of a triangular interior. I cannot tell from the pics, but the mint mark appears to have a circular interior. With wear, the mint mark should have a more filled in appearance and not form any "circular" appearance at all.

On this one, I think it's all psychological. I am 99.9% sure its real. Of course, it DOES look a bit funny, but it may only look funny because you said so, and now our brains want to see it that way. The details look good though, and the date and mint mark look good, which deters me from thinking its a fake.

Yeah, I am kinda worried I am considering it "odd" because it's not in bad shape like so many of them are. I am a world of contradiction lately, I think.
