I picked these uncut sheets up at an estate sale I worked last weekend. I was somewhat surprised these didn't go the first day of the sale & REALLY surprised when they didn't sell for half price the second day. Almost anything coin or note related sells pretty quickly at estate sales here if they are priced anywhere near reasonably. These were originally priced around 90% of ebay prices & should have sold.

The $2 notes are series of 1976 star notes. The $1 notes are series of 1988 A.

Am I seeing right? Aren't the numbers the same? Shouldn't they be incremental?

The star notes are to replace notes which didnt pass quality inspection so it would be random numbers which needed reprinting and I would think that finding a series of star notes with contiguous serial numbers would probably command a premium

actually star notes are not printed with the same serials as the notes they are replacing. entire straps of stars regularly go into circulation. I'll try to find a link to a better explanation of stars.
