Oh, hello. I'd snag that in an instant. The clash on the reverse is XF, much less the coin itself.

An extra obverse for the price of a reverse? A bargain! Thanks, v! Must raise that existential question; it's the general consensus that most Fugios read STATES UNITED because the die sinkers were clueless and couldn't turn the image around the right way in their heads. So were the makers of the UNITED STATES dies the non-clueless ones? Or were the same clueless die sinkers trying to make their usual, backwards product and messed up a second time, so it actually came out looking like they were... Don't think about it too long; it just makes your head hurt.

That pretty Newman 11-B was probably one of the 60 of that variety from the Bank of New York hoard, SsuperDdave. It's more than just mint state, though; that's a strike and a planchet that's truly exceptional for a Fugio.

While the Heritage Fugio is a beautiful high graded example, the ebay specimen has that amazingly strong rays clash through the links. Powerful indeed, both are stunning!

Yeah, I've gotta say, I'll take an obverse clash on a Fugio reverse any day over a reverse clash on an obverse. Much more character.

I agree, MS63BN is irrelevant for such a coin. The pop on Fugios of this pedigree is small, guaranteed. That planchet and strike is among the finest I've seen on a fugio.
