Anyone care to put a grade and value on this Morgan?

I'll go MS-63 DMPL for $100 (latest CoinValues price).

I think too many rim dings to make MS63 but I don't know Morgans

I was thinking more in the MS61/62 range. I wouldn't consider this one DMPL, but that could be due to the picture or my lack of experience.

Well, MS detail, though there seems to be wear on some of the hair detail. May just be a soft strike, though. The reverse is stronger but there is some heavy damage to the rim at 10:00 and along the top. Makes me wonder if this might have been a jewelry piece. Overall, I would go AU-55. But, I am not strong on grading Morgs. I would not want to venture a price. Morgan Fred, Superdave, et al, should be along shortly and they will nail it.

It looks MS to me based on luster. New Orleans Morgans often have strike weakness, usually on Liberty's hair over the ear and on the eagle's breast feathers. This coin looks pretty typical in that regard. The assorted small dings add up to MS-62 IMO. The 1884-O in MS-62 is maybe a $25 coin.
A possible concern is the mashed-looking section of denticles on the obverse from 3:00 to 6:00. I see a similar effect on the reverse, although not as pronounced. Maybe this is strike weakness, or maybe it's damage from mounting in a bezel. If I were looking for an 1884-O I would seek out an example with a more normal-appearing rim.

MS63 at best. That scratch on the reverse kills it for me.

The coin isn't even proof like let alone DMPL. It would grade MS63 even with the contact marks. The strike is average for a O mint, but better than many, as you can see a few feather details and hair over the ear.
PCGS may give it an MS62 on a bad day because of the rim dings.
The coin does not look to have any scratches and the problem "mark" in question doesn't have the shape or reflection of a scratch. This contact mark is thick and consistent with other contact marks derived from coins striking coins.
