All you Roosevelt dime gurus I need your input on this.

I cannot find anywhere a value of PCGS slabbed " Roosevelt dimes" with a FB designation against ones without. In other words, what would the value of say a MS66FB be against an plain MS66 or a MS64FB against a MS64 of any year. How much more or less and is there a chart on such. Could not find on on NuMismedia.

Thanks

Edgman

I believe this information is available to PCGS subscribers only. I see it all but am logged in to a paying account.

If you have one or two dates I can relay the info here. If you are looking for entire tables, it would require a download.

P.S. Price Guide values are far different than actual completed auction listings which are provided separately.

PCGS price guide gives the value for Roosevelt dimes with and without FB but keep in mind the values tend to be on the high end.

Did not want to pay PCGS a large fee just to answer my question. I thought our Roosevelt collectors would have an idea. It looks like about a 20% markup for FB as against no FB designation.

Thanks

Speaking strictly on PCGS Price Guide Values, 20% sounds like a good rough estimate for lower MS grades (64 and under).

65 and up and they show values up to double, triple, quadruple for FB vs non-FB at 65, 66, and 67.

P.S. This was from a quick glance through silver MS Roosies from '46 to '64.

That is, of course, subject to some few issues which are pretty rare in FB due to strike issues. Offer me a 1945-P in FB at a 20% markup and I'm going to get rug burn from reaching for my wallet so fast.

While I finally have your attention! I have finished my Washington's, Lincolns and Jefferson's. My Mercs are 4 shy away from completion so I am getting into my Roosies of which I know little about. Collecting slabbed one also. Been noticing the FB designation makes them a lot higher in value just like the FS on the Jefferson's but other than joining PCGS I cannot find a price list for them. Now NumisMaster has a FB list for Mercury's but not for Roosevelt's! I also find that MS65's carry the most FB designations more than the MS66 or MS67. Could use more input on the Roosies'. Last couple were great.

Thanks

I have a 1949-S Roosevelt dime graded MS-67 in an old ANACS holder. It appears to have separation of the band lines on the torch and I'm tempted to crack it out and see if PCGS would call it FB. I think they would be reluctant since they value the normal MS-67 at $130 and the MS-67FB at $3,000.

Hey, it's only a 23X premium over the ordinary coin!
