Indeed ... alas it will most likely sell to someone who believes all they read on the Bay is true.

Looks like it was marked by a coin roller. I hate how the new coin rollers mark almost every end coin like that.

Hmm... lets see. They only minted 2.5 billion cents from Denver that year, so the date certainly isn't unique. Unique as in the placement of the PMD from the coin counter is possibly .5mm off center?

[Wanna tell him there ARE NO silver pennies?]

I think it would be better to ask the questions, "why are you selling such a gem so cheaply? Don't you realize what you have?"

And then sit back and wait for him/her to pull, and then re-list the coin with a much higher starting bid.

I realize that wouldn't help the situation one bit...but...

it is fun to think about...

Also shipping is more than the starting bid. A joke all the way around.

This is what I've come to really hate about ebay.Sellers that do not have a clue or even care if it's a real or not. ebay is slap full of junk like this and I truly believe it hurts the hobby.I do give ebay a little credit for helping to remove such listings.
A recent seller had 10 Lincoln cents from the 90s listed as Doubled die's.I reported him to ebay that they were nothing more than Machine Doubling and noted to ebay how many listings he had like this.To ebay's credit they did removed all 10 listings. The seller then relisted them as Machine Doubling.
As long as a seller list them accurately and correctly I don't care what they sell

I once sold a nickle with Die Deterioration but added that
"the experts said it was just Die Deterioration". Someone got an interesting coin and it only cost a few bucks.

edit:
Went back and checked it went for $1.00 and $1.00 S&H and the add read "I was told" not "the experts said".
