There's an auction coming up soon with many different items (non-coin related). Among them though is this error LMC. What would be the most you would bid on it? Thanks!

Well the slab looks a little funny to me. I do not collect those errors but just looking at ebay unslabbed off center zincolns sell between $1.50-$8.00 If it is in a real NGC slab and MS66 I would guess it would go for between $10-$15 I just did a search for MS66 NGC Graded Lincolns and I guess they are worth more than I suspected. I wouldn't pay that much but its not my thing. $19-39 http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odk...ngc&_sacat=0These are just my rough estimates from looking at ebay. What is the highest I would bid? I might bid $3-4 if you are suspect of the slab. If it is an authentic NGC slab I might go $10-12. Is this at an auction where you will be able to have the coin in hand? But I don't collect these errors so if its your thing and you like it I would say you could bid more than I would. How much do you like it? If you are not doing this for money and you really like it I would bid more. I have been known to over pay a little for a coin that I REALLY wanted to put in my MS Lincoln Album.

Ones with a date are worth more but it sure looks like a 1995 to me.

The slab is an older NGC slab. Off center lincolns are a pretty common error. People hear " error " and they always think $$$$. The fact that it is slabbed increases the value somewhat. As I said it is a common error and I personally wouldn't pay more than $7-$8 for it. And then only because it in an MS 66 slab.

I paid $8 for an almost identical one at an auction a couple of years ago (not slabbed). Afterwards I thought I paid a little too much, but I didn't have an off-center strike, so I'm OK with what I paid.

Under $10 for sure. Worth way less than the cost to have it slabbed.

Thanks for the responses. I am going to bid on it just because I don't own one yet. I was just curious.
Jayman I won't be able to have it in hand.
This is a yearly online auction that another group I belong to does. There are hundreds of all kinds of items. All proceeds go to St Judes Childrens Hospital.
Thanks again!

Just spent my collecting money on art at a silent auction for the Cat House. http://www.cathouseonthekings.com/Well worth it! Got a painting by a local artist, a Clay figurine by Margaret Hudson, and an Italian glass bowl and vase. Sweet!
