Hi, I have always been into the King George coins (earlier years). with 1935 being the second last year, I've never really had interest, but decided to invest in one, this is one my local coin store has listed, I have hidden the grade, please grade this and tell me what you think.

NGC ms65 But they don't do well with Canadian coins. Nice surfaces and apparently nice lustre, but below average strike quality in a year where nice stikes are the norm.Quite a lot of detail missing in the robe, collar, jewels, etc. IMO ms63

Hard to tell how the lustre is based on those photos/lighting, but I'd say 64/65

Sounds about right. A decent win even since it looks to be correctly graded. eg ICCS or PCGS would probably give it 65 as well.

It's a beauty ..!! Rare to see the fields so perfect. I would have given it an MS 64 because of the touch/contacts on the cheek and also in the highest spots of the beard. I'm old school and a gem years ago could not have contact marks or rubs seen with the naked eye.
Today,.. here, we do see some MS 65's with fine contacts sometimes showing on the coin. It's tough to find a perfect silver dollar and this one is very close to that.. Nice buy...
