1994-D Dime MM - What Is This?

I believe that the lines inside the MM and below it would be called "points" if this were a large cent. There also appears to be a split lower serif and maybe a small split on the upper serif. Can anyone provide information on what this is?

Looks like strong die flow is starting to start in that area. Nothing special as far a premium for this. Spendable.

I think the split you are seeing in the mintmark is Machine Doubling. You can also see it in the date.

I saw that on the first 9 but not on the other numbers. So it does not necessairly have to be on all the numers of the date?
