Is this just a messed up coin or could it possible be a mis-strike? Or do I just have a jacked up coin?

Hard to tell from the pics but to me it looks like coins I have seen that were in a fire.

It has been damaged, fire is one possibility, and that's a shame because it looks like it might be a clipped planchet. It's hard to tell for sure due to the low quality of your photo.
