First one looks like damage and the second one looks like a planchet flaw.

Laminating I can see happening after the striking of the coin.

It is very strange to me to see part of the strike being the "RA" of Australia at the bottom of what looks like to me an area of laminating.

planchet flaw is a new term to me. Have I already described it? Can someone help me here as well please?

Have a look at my 1950 penny at the bottom of this thread. You'll note the date, penny and roo tail all inside the flaw.
