Well, if anyone gets one of the sets I returned, you might know it. I put a piece of paper inside each box describing the problem. Originally I did this so I could keep straight which coin had which problems. But after I shipped them I remembered I had forgotten to remove the papers!

Well, my status for my 03jun order changed to in stock and reserved and they charged my CC, FOUR DAYS AGO! Once again, PBGS is missing the "charge when shipped" promise. If it doesn't go out today, the pending charge will probably drop from my CC and if the past is any guide, PBGS won't charge it again until after I receive the product. Anyway, the first two of my seven sets should be on their way soon, the 06jun orders are still "backordered" and are still scheduled to ship 3 weeks ago.
With the West Point mint's experience producing proof ASEs for years they should not have any problems with these coins but it looks like production is painfully slow. Maybe the enhanced uncirculated is a stumbling point or perhaps they are personnel bound because they are stamping 3 to 4 million bullion ASEs a month and there just aren't enough people to sit at the proof presses.

The mint doesn't reship returned sets unless they are returned in the original, unopened mint shipping box (AKA returned sight unseen). This would typically only apply to volume purchases and even then, with the seven day return policy that would probably only happen if a buyer experienced some sort of financial event between the time they were charged and the time the shipment arrived and really needed their money back. Don't worry about getting someone else's rejects, it just does not happen. PBGS makes more money by sending returns back to the mint for credit and payment for handling the return than they would by putting any return back in stock.

Thanks Clair - BTW - I was told on the phone, and verified it with the customer service rep - that they would credit the return shipping. Yet on the website, and in the email they sent back, they only credited the cost of the sets. I contacted them via email but am awaiting a response since yesterday.
Let me guess...
I am out 23.00 despite what they said... correct?

I sent one back a few weeks ago. A check from the US Treasury showed up about 7-10 later. I had included the receipt when I sent the puck back to them. It did not show up on my account as a credit.

Well... I wonder if I will end up with another long series of phone calls to them over this. I would be surprised - and pleased - if they actually stick to what was said..

I am expecting a shipment of my PF70 coin set from Goldmart today or tomorrow.... still not info/update from the mint.
