I'd appreciate some assistance grading this new arrival. It's an 1808 O-103 R1. I think it has very little wear based on the beautiful toning that I can't pick up with my camera. (I tried using a white background and still wasn't successful)
In the Parsley book he says "Most available specimens of 1808 are weakly struck and with little wear appear to be well worn."
The die wear on this old lady is screaming. Agree with moe145. Shes still one classy mama. I would think anyone would be proud to have her in their collection. EF40.
I agree with everybody that it looks 40 with a shot at 45. Overall a nice looking piece. The marks on the neck above and around the clasp concern me. Perhaps they don't look too bad in-hand but could result in a no-grade if they're deep.
