Help Grading 1808 Bust Half Dollar - Coin Community Forum

cipster Pillar of the Community United States 2364 Posts	Posted 06/13/2013 4:28 pm I'd appreciate some assistance grading this new arrival. It's an 1808 O-103 R1. I think it has very little wear based on the beautiful toning that I can't pick up with my camera. (I tried using a white background and still wasn't successful) In the Parsley book he says "Most available specimens of 1808 are weakly struck and with little wear appear to be well worn." BH1964 Bedrock of the Community United States 10982 Posts	Posted 06/14/2013 02:47 am I agree with everybody that it looks 40 with a shot at 45. Overall a nice looking piece. The marks on the neck above and around the clasp concern me. Perhaps they don't look too bad in-hand but could result in a no-grade if they're deep. ANA #R3154474 Report this Post to the Staff
