To get into collecting paper money, around a year ago I purchased two Dansco small currency albums. The challenge was how to go about putting some interesting notes together. For me, coins are my main interest, and I did not want to commit to needing very many high dollar notes. I wanted this to be a fun project.
What I have ended up with is
Album #1 ($1.00 notes)
20 Silver certificates, 1928 through 1957 B
24 Federal Reserve notes 1963 through 2009
One note for each signature change
Album #2 ($2.00 notes)
14 United States Notes (red seal)
5 Federal Reserve Notes ( Green seal)
Section 2 Album 2 (mixed denomination)
3 Examples of different type notes
Red seal
Brown seal
Yellow seal
Blue seal
Gold seal
Green seal
Big head
colorized
These albums are set up so you can add pages ..
So I added a set of fractional notes (3 cent through 50 cent)
And a couple pages of Philippine notes, from when they were a U.S. territory.
I think I am at a point where I need about 7 notes to complete both albums. Those seven will cost a lot more then the rest of the notes, that I currently have.
Here are some highlights of what I have so far.
