MS-63. I think the weak strike coupled with a couple of ill placed hits keep it from MS-64. Over all a nice looking Morgan!

Nice coin that would have gone MS-64 but for the scratch across the neck. Still a frosty MS-63

I'd put it at a 63, a few too many marks for a 64 IMHO. Great looking Morgan whatever the grade!

For that kind of money it must have been a scarce variety VAM ....fair market on an 1879-P is around 700-800
