Just posted in my old link but thought it would be cool to see how many people have a coin that can be identified as a previous piece of the Pittman Collection. I now own the following 1936 Canada Small cent MS64 1936 Canada Small cent MS63 imagine these coins probably sat right next the to the 1936 dot coins at one point in time. For those who do not know of Pittman I linked a little something http://www.coinlink.com/Resources/g...-collection/

I have an 1880H 5c PCGS MS62 but since the coin and certificate are no longer in the slab together I guess there's no guarantee it is actually the Pittman coin.

I also have a 1c 1936 MS-64 ex-Pittman.
He obviously had a Sheldon Cooper for that coin.

I have Pittman's 1970 VIP Specimen Set, with the original case of issue. They were already in PCGS holders, with the provenance on them. Here are a couple of them. A gorgeous 1c, with a strong cameo. A 5c, with the strong cameo I have ever seen on a 1970 specimen strike. And, of course, the nickel dollar from the set.

That 1970 VIP set sure does show off that wonderful "Cameo" effect.

I just bought my very first Pittman, a penny from 1936 (NGC MS-65 RD), complete with "carbon"-marks (I'm liking that term better than "spit-spots" or "saliva-spots"). . Photos will be posted when I have it in hand. ...and that's some set, SPP-Ottawa .
