Recently got this coin, at first I thought it was a novelty coin cause I have never seen it before.

Got a quick question about it though.

Are the pictures on the coin not supposed to match up?

The Statue of Liberty side is right side up, I'll flip the coin over and the portrait of John Adams is upside down.

Its a real coin. Worth $1. And yes, that is the way the coin should look.

I suppose that's a good indication of how popular the $1 Presidential coins are. A series that's been around for 6 years and folks still don't know about it.

And yep, Ehsian, that's the way the coin is supposed to look. But then again all US coinage is that way. Look at your pocket change.

You've got a pretty shiny one there. A lot of the '07s I see are pretty dull by now.

I'm actually Canadian. Got it from a Tim Hortons drive thru.

In regards to the pictures being inverted, I've never seen that before; personally I find it really odd that it's actually like that
Rest in Peace

Well, down here we call that 'coin alignment'. Canadian coins are 'medal alignment'.

I think that most of the coins of the world have gone with medal alignment.

That's one thing that throws me on world coins. I go to flip them over like I do a US coin, and the design is upside down like I dont expect.

Sorry Ehsian, I didn't look closely enough to see you were Canadian. My apologies.
