So I have had this note for I don't know how long. It was just sitting in my currency note book. I kept it only because it was a star and just a buck. Today I was going through and pulling the bills worth only face and I noticed something I somehow managed to miss until now... So, I realize it is not in stellar condition, but what would you folks put on it value wise? And if you missed it too, look at the first number in each serial number.

That's a nice find and is from a known serial number range. These first started showing up last year and some ChCu gem notes sold in the $2000 range. With more of these showing up prices have come down. If you want to contact the link below and give them your sn as they are keeping track of these error notes. Also scroll down the page...and you will see some comments about the sn range. http://www.uspapermoney.info/serials/f2006_s.html

That is a very nice error note,to bad about the condition.I have seen SN's off by one number but not by two numbers.Even in that condition it should bring a decent premium. Please keep me/us updated, thanks. John1 P.S. Does anyone think it would bring more if it was slabbed?

John I was considering sending it in. Never sent in currency, so don't know the procedure or if you have to have a membership with PCGS or not.

nice find, smokeriderdon. although, that is not one of the rare gems that is a star note. Type rare star notes into google and you will see a link referring to mycurrencycollection. At that website you will learn what domination for most years of star notes about how many were printed for that year and bank

Whoa! I need to recheck my bills. For some dumb reason, comparing the serial numbers always escapes me.
