I came across a few walkers I had stashed long ago before I sold my complete set (hated to do it but needed the $) I saved a few of the best common date duplicates and forgot about them. Pulled this one out and by far was the best one.(it does have a few hits on Ms Liberty's extended arm)
My question to the CCF members, what grade would you say it is and does it qualify as a full head?
Thanks for your opinions as always!

Beautiful looking coin...I think the hits will hold it down to a 63, but I'm new at this so lets see what others say.

I take back my prior guess, I think it's whizzed.
Rest in Peace

I think this may have a shot at MS64. Personally, I judge the strike quality on this series by the amount of detail on the left hand.

MS64 but I also see some signs of whizzing when I blow it up. Lets see what some of the others think

Interesting...I looped it at 10x and 16x and it looked natural to me. no hairline scratches and the cartwheel luster does not seem to be broken. I don't see any metal buildup in the devices. could it be my lighting? I can see a full circle of luster in hand.
any tips on what else to look for? I appreciate the comments.

This coin might detail at a TPG INO surface dage or tooling? Something just doesn't look right about it. that said the luster seems decent, depending on lighting for the photo. It does have a whizzed or buffed appearence, but you say under magnification there seems to be no change in luster. I think this is a tough call without having it in hand, I'm going MS62 too many hits on the arm, and not a full strike, very weak on the eagles breast and hand area of Ms. Liberty. Hope I'm wrong for your sake, but the 1945-D is not especially a tough date to find in very high grade. PCGS has graded over 12,000 of this date/mint mark with over 11,000 above MS64.

I can see it grading MS-64. Where is everyone seeing the damage/whizzing? The luster looks alright and doesn't strike me as the luster that whizzing produces. There are lines visible in the fields above the sun and to the left of the branch but I believe those are flow lines.
