Hello, I am new to the group, but would like to know if there is a publication (catalog) dedicated to ONLY GB Paper Money through the years. I have seen all of the Standard World Paper Money catalogs advertised, but am only looking for a low cost reference for the Great Britain paper money. Any help? Thanks.
All I want to know is what paper money there was in circulation during the 1965-1969 time frame.

Define low cost and Great Britain.
The book "English Paper Money" which you can obtain from Pam West's website is the leading resource on Bank of England notes.
There are also separate references for Ireland and Scotland.

Low cost = something under outragous. The standard cats are over 60 USD. Seems a bit high for my needs.
I shall go over and look at the Pam West site/ Thanks.
Great Britain = England not the British Isles or UK, although if it is in the lower cost book, then fine.

Looking at Pam West's website will probably give you all the information you need about the notes issued during the time period you specified without buying the book.

Thanks lettow for recommending the reference book English Paper Money. I'm on a small budget and settled for a used 6th edition that is available on Amazon for less than $10.00 USD that includes shipping within the US. I should be receiving soon and am looking forward to new brain food.

Welcome to the forum MoneyMoney1. If you want UK notes from the 60's you will be looking for the 'C' series of banknotes. There are 4 basic notes, 10/- ( ten shillings = 1/2 pound ) in a brownish red colour, £1 in green, £5 in blue and £10 in brown. They should all be reasonably cheap from ebay as long as you are happy with F or VF rather than UNC quality. Some signatures will be more expensive than others, but to give you a rough idea, a common green £1 note in reasonable quality should be around £5 or less. Note that Scotland, Northern Ireland and some of the smaller islands have their own issues, which can be very interesting and expensive.
