well...here's my non-expert opinion. obverse EF45, reverse VF35. net EF40. the surfaces appear dull and lifeless indicating to me that the coin had been dipped.
Rest in Peace

Do you have better pictures or have you seen this in hand? There are a few straight lines I see on the obverse that could indicate a harsh cleaning. In my opinion, a fair offer would be based on the extent of the "damage" from cleaning than just the grade.

Ok, I just paid $260 to the door for the coin. How did I do? I will post more pics once I have it in hand!

I think you did fine. I'd give it VF35 all day.

Thanks vermontensium! Here is a really nice VF (VF25 per the seller) that I was bidding on ebay. Didn't win and it closed out at $263.

I'd also say you did fine it looks to be VF higher end too (VF30 IMO), the price paid is quite reasonable.

I think it grades about VF-30 details, cleaned. The ones on Heritage with VF details, cleaned have sold for about the price you paid.

A reasonable price for the coin, I think fair for both seller and buyer.
