Any idea why this T didn't get pressed onto the coin and is that double 88 or am I just seeing things. Thanks in advance.

The missing 't' is probably the result of a grease-filled die.

Nope, you're not seeing things. I think you're seeing Die Deterioration. I tend to make that assumption when secondary devices appear toward the rim.

TRUST looks like a Grease Filled Die. The rim SE of the date looks like it is a MAD coin.

I agree with Grease Filled Die on the word TRUST. The date "doubling" is Die Deterioration and I can't see any sign of a MAD by these pics.

When you find a variety coin, you will know it for sure. They leap out right at you. But you are noticing what is different on coins. The right coin hasn't been under you glass yet. Keep looking. You are getting there.

If they were easy to find everyone would find them and they wouldn't have any value. I think the first variety I found that really got me excited was a 2000 WAM. I have been searching ever since. Happy Hunting!

Thanks all. And you're right about a lot of things as usual. I'm really having a great time. I even bought a few examples of pcgs graded doubles so I can examine them in person. Can't wait to have some real ones to compare with.
