Why is it I never have the money & the time, together, to go to things like these? Am I doomed to my LCS and ebay forever?

WFM is in Chicago for the next 3 years running. If I haven't changed employers, I'll be eligible for a week's vacation by the 2014 show....

They we're the largest denomination note to my knowledge intended for circulation. The $100,000 was a bank transfer note intended for bank to bank.

Quote: Can someone explain the 10,000 notes to me please? Look again - They are $100,000 gold certificates! You are only $90,000 off on each one. From wikipedia: These notes were printed from December 18, 1934, through January 9, 1935, and were issued by the Treasurer of the United States to Federal Reserve Banks only against an equal amount of gold bullion held by the Treasury Department. The notes were used only for official transactions between Federal Reserve Banks and were not circulated among the general public. -- These notes are property of the Federal Reserve and not legal to own or posses by anyone outside of the Federal Reserve. The reverse is orange colored.
