Ok so this guy has 15 auctions up with Franklin and Walker half enders. His feedback shows he has sold a few before this latest batch of listings. Having searched way to many halves I know a recrimped by hand roll and these look to be ok. I also know that the odds of finding a classic ender let alone a 40% JFK ender are slim to none. So does this guy have access to S & S wraps and a roller or did he break up a monster box? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Unsearched-...em33849d7cdf

You can buy the wrapping machines for like $350 online... along with multiple brands of wrappers for it. Figured this is how these people do it. $350 is nothing if you make this your business... why I never buy rolls like that except from the bank :)

I wonder how they knew it was a Kennedy roll and not a walking liberty roll when its unsearched and the ends are different.

He has a ton of bad feedback about his 'unsearched' rolls...

I'm sorry I just don't believe the un-searched roll junk.

If one believes this unsearched roll junk, there are people waiting to sell them bridges. Just look at how many cent rolls are up on ebay with Indian cents, Barber dimes or 3c pieces on the ends. Amazing.

No doubt. I'll admit I will pass on truly unsearched MODERN rolls (ie LMC's) to people in need of such item. But a half dollar roll with that kind of end?!?! Cmon! I'm tearing that baby open!

As has been suggested, implied, and demanded countless times here on CCF, never consider any ebay rolls truly unsearched. Caveat emptor.

Yeah - if the enders are old coins, how do we know that the middle is modern?
Listings like that are 100% scams.

It's clearly a scam...look at his feedback! How many rolls can this guy possibly get with silver enders?!

I fail to see how this is a scam.
Auction starts at 99 cents and it is a bank roll with a 90% half showing on one end. He is showing a pic of what you will receive. He makes no claims that you will receive anything other than what is shown.

How could he claim what is in the roll w/o opening it? That is part of the scam!

Quote: How could he claim what is in the roll w/o opening it? That is part of the scam! It is billed as ann "Unsearched Kennedy half dollar roll" yet it has a Walker half on one end....sooooo how does he know what the other 18 coins are? ...and "Direct from a Federal Reserve Bank vault" (?) so the Fed now sent a box of halves in the late 1970's (or later) with mixed coins dating back to the 1940's (or earlier) Bogus....worth $9.50 + the value of the silver half Not really a scam because it says what it is (except for the FED part) ...no promises...lets the gambler make their own decisions

No disagreement on the $9.50 + silver half. Here is why it's a scam. Go look at the guy's feedback. Look how many of these rolls he has sold. He is either the luckiest guy around or he is making these rolls himself. Lets go with he is making the rolls. Therefore, they are not unsearched.
