Just a quick question. I submitted an order to PCGS online earlier this week on Monday. However, when I went to go check on the status of the order today (just to make sure that they had received them) I have no orders even listed in my account. Do they not show up until the coins actually get there? Kind of a weird deal. I have a feeling that it's going to take a while to get them back from all the complaints in the posts right now. Since I sent them registered as specified by them I don't really have any tracking on it.

They are pretty busy right after the ANA show, probably had triple the normal coin submissions. I know they got so busy at Rosemont I heard they stopped accepting the quick turn around orders at the show. I've had coins take more than a week to show up in their system before, after I shipped them off.

Yes, your order will not show up in their system until they are received and entered. I sent an order in the middle of July (regular service) and got it back within 4 weeks. Things might be busier now.

Quote: Since I sent them registered as specified by them I don't really have any tracking on it. It may be spotty but you should be able to track a Registered Package.

The registered mail number should be trackable. The only thing now that doesn't come with tracking from the USPS is the first class mail with a 40 something cent stamp. All the upgraded services (eg priority/express/registered) have tracking included so you dont have to pay extra to get it added on

Huh, when I enter the tracking number at usps.com it basically gives me nothing, saying it doesn't support tracking that number or something like that.

Format you should be entering to track registered mail is two letters starting with R, 9 digits and then US. Example "RE123456789US". You may already be aware, but I figured id mention just in case.

As an update, they did receive my lot on the 27th of August, not graded yet though as of today. I think that they're a little backed up right now, it was 13 days when I submitted it and now it's 17 days estimated for regular service. The random nature of my lot is probably not going to help (shield nickel, 3 3 cent nickels, Mercury dime) the speed.
