Been a few months since my last noodling session, so today I went through $1000 of dollar coins, and $400 worth of 50c pieces from CBA coin machine bags.

50's weren't that exciting, just 2 1991 Rams in pretty good nick

First-Noodle-For-A-While

No Millenium Incuseds in the 8 coins from 2000
2001 Federation states were all well circulated; 11 in all (1 Tas, 2 NT, 1 Vic, 1 Norfolk, 4 WA, 2 NSW)
Found 4x 2013 COA's

In the 1000 $1 coins I picked up 2 NCLTs, both C m/marks - and rather well circulated - but both are firsts 'out of the pond' for me....

First-Noodle-For-A-While

Best find was a Rotated 2001 COF dollar, my 4th from circ. In nice condition, and the third of 4 I've found that is around the 3 o'clock position

First-Noodle-For-A-While

First-Noodle-For-A-While

No mules in the 9x year 2000 coins (this one still eludes me...)

No 2012 or 2013 dollar coins were found

Nice noodling there PD!

The rams and the rotated $1 were nice finds. I haven't found a Korean War NCLT $1 as yet but still looking.

Keep up the good work!

I've never found a rotated 2001 coin & I've noodled a lot of dollar coins, maybe none were released here in QLD or their all noodle out by the time they got to the country towns.
Yours is in surprisingly good condition.
Hope you find that illusive mule one day penny d.......

Nice noodle pd!. I've been hitting the small country town banks of late, on my travels, and I'm finding lots of aunc coins, but no NCLT's. I have a quick question. Is it normal for the $1 .00 year 2000 legend to be very close to the rim?

As far as I am aware, yes. That gives an easy 'tell' that you don't have a mule.....the mule would have an obvious rim edge, and lettering further in from the edge - though I've not yet had one in front of me!

$200 worth of 20c pieces sorted today: (1000 coins)

3 were Kiwi interlopers

Commems:

1x 1995 UN (I don't see this one often...)
3x 2001 Bradman
1x 2001 Norfolk
1x 2001 N. Territory
4x 2003 Volunteers
21x 2005 WW2
9x 2010 ATO
3x 2011 Volunteers
9x 2011 William Kate
11x 2011 Women's
1x 2013 Canberra (my first...yay )

Are the 2013 Canberras a general release?
Latest Platy's were 2012's and had plenty of them...

Also a fairly nice 1972
No wavy 1966 in the 24 coins of this date, and no 2004 Large Heads - an underrated coin, IMHO

First-Noodle-For-A-While

Got 1000 dollar coins to go through later...

Yes, I've found three or four so far but I think they'll dry up pretty quickly.

Cheers, thanks for that

Maybe the SA fans coming over for the footy finals can bring some with them, to add to Vic's pool of coins....

Dollar coins didn't impress me much.....

Just the one mintmarked coin in the 1000 searched; no NCLT's, mules or rotateds

First-Noodle-For-A-While
