I just chose one denomination for each day this week. Except for Friday where I noddled 1K of $2 coin's. The noddling for that denomination was predetermined earlier in the week, Not knowing it was going to be on Friday the 13Th!! and Yes I do also have a Black Cat! Ha, what a freak of a weekday for $$$ I have compiled a tally list of this week's work! Hope you all like! I have only put up my Key coin's here. In the Fifty's I found, ( $600 ) Gross net. 1x Incused Union Jack, #2 I own.. 1x Ram's Head. 4x First Fleet's. 3x Royal Visit's. 1x 1980 Lam Flaw. 1x Bass & Flinder's (Upgrade coin) any Grading OP's.. 1x 1971 COA Low mint (Upgrade coin) any Grading OP'S.. 1x 1976 COA (Birth Date coin) any Grading OP'S.. 3x 1993 Low mint. 4x 1997 Low mint. 16x State Fed's,=3x NT,=3x SA,=3x NSW,=2x ACT,=2x WA,=1x NF,=1x QLD,=1x VIC. Various Grade's! The 1985 50Ct still Eludes me. In the Twenty's I found, ( $200 ) Gross net. 2x 2013 Canberra's. #23 I own. (mostly one per bag of $100) 1x 1995 UN. 1x 2004 Large Head. 1x 1971 Lam Flaw. 5x State Fed's,=3x NF,=2x NT. Various Grade's! In the ten's I found, ( $200 ) Gross net. 3x 2011 10ct #17 I own. Enworb told me of this,I just began! 4x 1997 10ct. 1x 1991 10ct. 1x 1985 10ct ( a little PMD ) In the Five's I found, ( 5ct ) Gross net. 1x 1966 British Six Pence. ( From coin machine ) In the One Doller's I found, ( $500 ) Gross net. 1x 1997 Sir Charle's King(NCLT), Lamination Flaw on obverse. 1x 1998 Rabbit ear's, ( My Largest ) to date! 1x 2009 Cud on his back, I think he need's De'flead! With this one guy's & girl's, is this where the Rabbit ear's start for the 2009 bunny ear's, or is this another Cud that I have not learned of yet? In the Friday the 13th bag's of $2 I found, ( $1000 ) Net!! 4x 2013 60th Coronation's. 2x Single Rim Cud's. 1x Double Rim Cud. ( my first ) 1x 1988 $2, Best I've seen, (forgot pic's) 1x 2005 Lam flaw. Sadly, your 50¢, 20¢ and $2 coins are not lamination flaws, but post-mint damage. The $2 seems to be just a deep scratch. The 50¢ and 20¢ appear to have been severely bent, and then straightened out again, resulting in the metal tearing. The 1997 Smithy $1, however, does look like a lamination flaw. Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis Report this Post to the Staff

The 20ct & 50ct seem fine to me. Someone must have there wire's crossed, or looking at the wrong coin's As for the $2, all point's led to Lam Flaw (I own a loupe too), all the Hallmark's of surface Lamination Flaking. An immense amount of force would have to be used to bend and straighten out a copper /Nickel coin in the sizes of these. I see no evidence of this force being applied to the 20 and 50 cent coins. There are NO Marks on the Rims of these coins to suggest this occurred. The $2 coin is obviously a deep cut or scratch as the rims bear witness to this. If I'm correct, I would expect to see some sign of the process on the other side as well. I'm always happy to be proved wrong, but my assumption, with damage like this running directly across the coin from one edge to the other, would be post-mint damage caused by stress fracturing. The 20¢ is particularly suspicious - I would take the V-shaped groove running parallel to the crack as evidence of being caught in a vice or some similar piece of machinery. I see this effect on mediaeval hammered coins all the time; it was common practice back then to fold coins in half around a piece of string to keep them safe; finders of such bent coins often try to straighten them out, with edge-to-edge cracking the result. Of course, hammered silver coins are much thinner and weaker than modern cupronickel coins; as trout said, it takes a lot of carefully applied force to bend a modern coin. But this is the 21st century; we have had the technology to apply such forces for quite some time now. I have quite a few more of these 20ct & 50ct coin's, all Following the Grain of the Metal Flaw's! and Verified Here. To many coin's to get Stuck in a Machine? jpl.. PS, It is Patina stripe's your looking at! The line's are the Grain of the Metal Flow when Set, and a V Groove running along side? Is there Any Body in There What Tool/Machine Mark's Where? I have at least 45 x $2's with rim Cuds and only 2 of them have double Cuds, 1x 1999 and 1 x 1998, both on the reverses. Approx positions 1999 (5 - 5.30k and 8-9k), and 1998(6-7k and 8.30-9k). Out of the 45 coins, only 12 have the Cuds on the Obv.
