you can use the Free Image Optimizer to help resize them.

If they are really close to 100KB, like 99.7 for example, you may have to go a hair smaller. Ill spare the tech explination, but the short of it is not all hard drives store the same info the same way when it comes to blocks and clusters of file size. Even though the file is 99.7 on your hard drive, it may "appear" larger on the destination drive. I simply resize to 97KB on average now just to avoid that issue.

I use the rule of thumb to keep the images to the 600-1000 pixel width. The height doesn't matter, just the width.
