Nice example and a highly underrated coin, and seldom seen in Mintstate. There are no known examples in existance of the Obverse #5 for this date. P.S. take a close look at the "2" in the date, appears to be repunched?

Glenn...Could you post a sharp pic of your 92,.... and do you also have any interesting details to explain about it? ...such as a re-cut # etc...

My 92 seems to have an 8 over 8 and some fill in the 9.(at least my notes show this). If you get yours in here somewhere maybe there are important details to compare with mine or others here and help explain the differences.

I will soon have a digital microscope and this will make for greater detailed pics in viewing these little coins.( I really hope)

That is an amazing close up and it shows "something extra" at the bottom of that 2.

Glenn could have an answer to this,..and maybe even his coin pic....

Appears to be a repunched "2", however the Charlton Cat. (see page 90.) does not recognize this digit in the date as repunched, only the 1, 8 and 9 digits. P.S.: unable to post a pic of mine, sorry, can't seem to download for some reason?

It almost looks like a 1 pushing through the bottom of the 2.

I wonder what was happening with that die?...
