Looking for a decent book.

For example I have one for liberty and Shield nickels, published by the Red Book people. I like that type of style.

I'm looking for something like similar for Barber coins. Mostly halves and quarters, but if dimes were included that would be fine.

I don't really need to know in great depth about errors and varieties, just general info.

Any ideas?

I can't help with the book info but I'm sure that matthewvincent will be along to offer some good suggestions. In the meantime, here's a link to the Barber Coin Collectors Society from his signature line. Lots of good study material there.

You will have to get a book for EACH face value if you want in depth information.
That means three books (if they exist).

David Lawrence's books are the only ones on the subject, by denomination.

If you look close on the lower right of the blog page, you will see that all of the books you are looking for are available online for free, as stated. After David L. Feigenbaum (David Lawrence) passed away, his son John, made the entire library free, at least the online editions. These books still sell for a good amount to collectors on ebay, I've seen copies go from $40-120 each for various editions the past year.
