1955 Double Die with many errors. The 1955 date the two fives are of a different dark coloring. The third 5 is not complete looks like an S with a number underneath it. The last five is smaller. There is number 9 has a clod of ink at the point making it look like a big comma. There is also bright coloring tone in the 9 and clod as well as the third 5 and underneath it. The word Liberty the Y is not magnified not totally shaped where it is a V. On the back on coin one of the leaf has magnified errors as well as the other leaf. Leaf is of different coloring as well. The word E. Pluribus ....the you is a V Are these good coins to collect ? I am not a collector so I don't know your input would be great as I have numerous error coins

Thanks Fuzzy I know that the pictures are not clear as I see awesome pics on here. This is my first time posting and though I am not a collector. I was just hoping to get information as to the importance of the coins. I will try to get a camera I am sure that will make the images better.

Clearer images might show what you are looking at. But from your description it sounds like one of the common Die Deterioration or so called poor man's doubled die. Just extreme die wear which happened a lot in the 1950's.

Any color variations you see are due to toning and environmental exposure, not an error. Doubled dies for 1955-D are minor compared to the well-known 1955-P doubled die, the strongest of the entire Lincoln series. 1955-D DDOs will primarily have doubling of the eye, although DDO-001 has light doubling on the 19 of the date as well. Some of the things you describe sound like die wear or contact damage so it is impossible to say much more without clear pictures.
