By the lack of wear on the reverse VF30
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Not a bad key date half dollar..

With the hair detail almost gone I would agree with DBM

The reverses of these always stand up better to wear than the obverses.
I think that it has something to do with the fact that the reverse had lots of small high points and the obverse had a few much larger high points.
The George V1 Australian silver florins exhibit with a Coat of Arms design exhibit much the same wear characteristics.

This can result in a split grade, with the reverse grading higher than the obverse.

Sheldon VF20, where the lowest grade side only decides the grade of the coin
F / VF in the British system.
With a coin such as this, I prefer an honest split grade.

VF20 it is a little flat on the obverse

I like the idea of grading both sides but for a single grade I'd go with the side with more wear. In this coin, the obverse looks F-15.

Yes VF20 IMO. Insufficient detail on obverse for higher grade
