Barbers are pretty intense and long, good luck. Out of curiosity, what are the keys of the later series that you are missing?

I still need the top 9 Lincoln cents, 1938S Jefferson, 1916D and 1921D Mercury dimes, 1916 SLQ, and the all the 1916 1919 1921 and 1938D Walking halves. Other than that I am pretty much complete from 1900 to date with the exception of mint marked Buffalo nickels.

As FTB mentioned, Barbers are intense. Buying examples problem free above VG can be a bit of a wake up call. These coins were used to their max in most cases. I like your sets so far and keep on trucking.

Barbers are intense? I must remember that. Log Potato and I face the same challenge to collect higher grade Barbers. ( He must have a secret source for his halves. So many VFs!) For those people who do not care for the Barbers I wonder if it is the lack of the opportunity to see a complete set or even a run of them in VF to AU. After 25+ years my dime set is still being worked on and dealers drool when they see it. Jack, even in the grades that you have it impresses people to see them. "So OLD!" Persevere.

I just love the look of circulated Barbers. Thanks for sharing!

I've stayed away from the Barbers. The set is too long for my tastes. I've got the requisite "one of each" for my type set and that's it.

Looking good man. I need just 4 more Barber halves to complete my set, 2 hard ones 1892 o, 1892 s, the other 2 are common dates. Do what I am doing for the Seated coins, a date set for the halves, only up to 1878 though, gonna skip the last years.

Barbers are way to long and way to boring to me. I do have a few dimes (1914-D and 1900) one half (1910) and one quarter (1899). There also a few key dates that are to expensive. I too am doing a set of V nickels and it is pretty interesting. Also if you want to get really daring, you could try to get an 1894-S Barber dime!
