Hi Everyone,

Today I've come accross a lamination flaw I believe on a 1979 50c coin.
Pros - the most drastic I've come accross so I figured I'd keep it.
Cons - It appears to have been flawed with 4x flaps and the middle 2 have been bent / snapped off over time. the remaining 2 flaps on the outter coin can be bent easily if any pressure if applied.

I havent really looked into lamination flaws or collected as part of errors, although any information on value would be appreciated. Thankyou

I have NO idea of the value of these but it looks like a corker of a lamination peel to me

Definitely a keeper. Great find. Don't be tempted to play around with the lifted flaps, it's probably worth a little more to a collector with them intact.

As Nevol said, the Coin's condition you have, is the way it was meant to be found in. Excellent Lam Flaw!!

Lamination flaws in Australian coins do not add greatly to a scarcity value, perhaps no more than $20 or so above the value of what the coin would otherwise have.

Thats a nice one. One of the bigger ones I've seen on a 50c.
