Hi, I realize this post is pretty old but I thought I would try to help. 20th century isn't really my area but I think I can help a little. For Franklin and Kennedy half dollars, here are some books you should consider:
The Complete Guide to Franklin half dollars, Rick Tomaska (2nd ed. 2002)
Treasure Hunting Franklin and Kennedy half dollar Doubled Dies, Kevin Flynn and John Wexler (2003)
The Kennedy half dollar Book, James Wiles
Treasure Hunting Franklin and Kennedy half dollar Doubled Dies, Kevin Flynn and John Wexler (2003)
Above is an excerpt from a list of recommended books, which you can find here, http://www.freewebs.com/maprince230/Books.html This is list is more of an intermediate level library for most series it covers but it lists many good books. One thing I notice about your list is that there are many " RedBook" series books and although they offer much great information, I feel you will benefit much more from the more specialized books. For example, The Complete Guide to Franklin half dollars by Rick Tomaska is considered the definitive guide on the series, and I believe you should be able to find a copy for around $25.
Anyway, hope this helps, if you have any other questions please feel free to let me know.
