In our state agriculture news, there is a section on antiques and stuff. It has a nice picture of a toothpick holder with a dollar as decoration. In 1892 the Central Glass Co. used real coins for molds to make glass items. They only did this about 8 months before the treasury dept. shut them down as it was ruled as a form of counterfeiting. I found these examples on e-bay.
