jerseyben Pillar of the Community United States 1211 Posts	Posted 10/10/2013 09:07 am 1st I blew off the loose soil with compressed air. Next I soaked it in cold hydrogen peroxide to loosen the remaining soil. This was followed by a q-tip "roll" to lift off stubborn soil. Next I did a quick acetone soak but that did not really do much of anything. This is probably as good as it is going to get. Olive oil is typically reserved for coins that are in an advanced deteriorating state where the details are hard to see, as it brings out the details. This coin does not need olive oil.
