Hello,

Any ideas on the grade for this coin? This seller sells many coins like this and they seem very cheap. I am wary of these because I have been burned before with "recolored" coins. For an example of cheap, this coin sold for around $75 I believe.

Thank you,
Noah

If you can get it for ms60 money go for it. If not buy a graded example.

It does have the look of a recolored example. Also as high grade as the coin appears from the pic I would say there is a good chance it has been to the TPG before

The grade could reach an MS-65, but I don't know if it has been recolored.

52Raymo,

That's exactly why I am hesitant on bidding on his auctions. All of his coins would grade RED it appears which seems very suspicious and unlikely.

I don't know their technique but I've seen these before, definitely not natural.

Rim gashes all over it. That's why he's getting rid of it.
No way that coin is MS64.
MS details/damaged.
Value reduced dramatically.

Wow I did not see the rim damage in the op pics. The seller pics show them well. No Chance at a grade.

I just spent some time datamining his Feedback; I don't think he'd know an original-surfaces coin if one forced its' way down his throat.

Surfaces does look original to me, but I have to agree with you that the bunch of Indians he sold looks unlikely.

As for grade, I'm not sure if it'll detail, but certainly no more than MS62 for the rim damage.
